The Pond is a home-ran server that does not track you. We use minimal Javascript (which you can leave disabled and use the site fully without) and we use minimal cookies (session cookies only). The only external service this website uses is a domain name registration.
With the internet closing in on age verification, online anonymity is at risk. With The Pond I'm hoping to counteract the draconian measures large social media sites are using to squeeze more information from their userbase in the name of 'protecting children', even if it only exists as a pet project.
